Cell phones are getting very popular with everyone now these days. They are so popular and there are more people getting cell phones, even younger people are getting in on the fun. If your child has a cell phone, make sure that they know the when not to use their phone. They should never be using the phone in school. In most schools, if you are using the phone in school, it may be 'taken' from you by the teacher.
Once your cell phone is taken from you at school, you may not get it back until the end of the year and parents are stuck paying for that phone even when it is not being used. You should also tell your child to be careful with the minutes. Tell your child you only have a 'certain amount' of time on the phone and explain the cost of the phone to them. If your child knows it is expensive to have a cell phone, they may be a more careful with it and use it less. Make sure they know how important it is to keep it safe and not to loose it or lend it out to anyone or it will be gone.
